Qigong for Health

The Practice of Qigong

There are numerous forms of Qigong which are practiced with or without several movements (standing or sitting) and over 10,000 styles of Qigong with millions of people practicing it on a daily basis.
Qigong differs from Tai Chi in that each movement is repeated several times - typically between three and nine - before moving on to the next. This repetition helps build familiarity and flow, making it easier to learn and more accessible, especially for beginners. It’s a gentle way to ease into mindful movement without feeling overwhelmed by complex sequences.

Qigong also incorporates self-massage techniques like patting and tapping to stimulate energy flow and awaken the body’s meridians.
Therapeutic sounds, known as healing sounds or Six Healing Sounds, are another powerful element. These vocal tones are used to release tension, balance internal organs, and promote emotional well-being.

Together, these practices create a holistic experience that nurtures both body and mind.
